When is Chemistry worthwhile?

When is Chemistry worthwhile? There is a lot of controversy regarding the effects of graduate school on students who are studying chemical engineering, particularly at the University of Florida. The allegations include that students who take graduate courses in chemistry learn very little. Other negative accusations include that undergraduate students cannot succeed when compared to students who study Chemistry at the university.Graduate studies in Chemistry at the University of Florida generally require the equivalent of four years of undergraduate education. The difference between a four-year college and four years of graduate school is that there is a maximum of six semesters of coursework. In order to complete these requirements, many students take additional courses while in their undergraduate degrees. Some of the faculty members at the University of Florida are openly critical of students who want to pursue a career in Chemistry. They say that this is one of the most difficult c hemical engineering fields to break into since it is so closely linked to business. This is certainly an extremely controversial topic. In the case of the University of Florida, there is a growing group of concerned faculty members who are advocating for an alternative route for students who want to go into Chemical Engineering. They insist that students should take one year of Chemical Engineering and then take a full four year ChemE program with four semesters of coursework. With this new approach, the future for Chemical Engineering in the United States will be more prosperous. Those who do not wish to follow this route are not allowed to continue to study under the supervision of the faculty and students that support this alternative approach are likely to develop a vested interest in the future environmental cleanup of America. Those who have followed this approach see this as a much better alternative to an environment littered with chemical spills and leaking chemical tanks.Ind eed, this more realistic approach is welcomed by those who recognize the hazardous nature of Chemical Engineering. For these students, the answer is quite simple. They should take another year of ChemE and then begin their path to a very lucrative career in Chemical Engineering.Chemical Engineering at the University of Florida is undoubtedly one of the most respected careers in the world. It is a wonderful career and one that should not be dismissed simply because of the impact that ChemE has on the University of Florida.

How to Be Productive Over Winter Break

How to Be Productive Over Winter Break Those last assignments are turned in and the final exams have been taken. Fall semester has come to a close and the freedom of winter break is finally upon you. Now the question is: what do you with it? What do you do with so much free time when are you are free from worries of schoolwork? Most students take the position of relaxing doing absolutely nothing else. There is certainly nothing wrong with that; after all, you deserve it after all the hard work youve done. But for those of you who want to accomplish something a little more, how can you best take advantage of this time off? There are plenty of ways to use this break so you can feel like youve done something positive for your academic life and have made yourself somehow better prepared for the semester ahead of you. Although you initially may want to avoid doing any work at all over this next month, youd be surprised at how quickly you can find yourself extremely bored at home when there is no school to keep you busy. You dont need to be doing something heavy every day, but a few side projects to keep you intrigued can be a good idea. Of course there is no shortage of things to do to keep yourself entertained over break, but wouldnt it be nice to know that some of the activities youre taking part in will improve your schooling experience? Just think about how relieved and content youll feel when you return to that first day of classes knowing that you have already taken care of some pressing needs for your academic support system. What are these needs exactly? They can be anything from getting the best deals on textbooks, to purchasing new notebooks, to reviewing the class syllabus, to familiarizing yourself with your schedule. This is the part where you can get creative and figure out what helps you personally in the classroom. What gets you excited for school? What makes the learning process easier for you? If these questions are left until that first week back, youll probably be far too overwhelmed with all of the back-to-school commotion to really be able to focus on answering them. In situations like this, you look back and wonder why you didnt take advantage of all that free time when you had it That is why it is best for you to make a priority list right away when your break begins so you have clear ideas of what you want to accomplish and how to get them done. Try not to make this list too lengthy or else youll find yourself intimidated by its plethora of work and be tempted to just push it aside. This list should inspire you by reminding you of things you genuinely want to get done that will make your life easier come mid-January. Here are some guidelines to think about to help you get started on a productive winter break: Fresh School Supplies: Go through all of the binders, notebooks, pens, rulers, and anything else that you would find necessary for a class. Sometimes it feels great to just go out and buy all new supplies for the next semester. However, sometimes it can also feel good to use up what you have. Perhaps you have a notebook that was barely written in past its first three pages from fall semester instead of throwing it out, just rip out the first few used pages and label it for a different class. You may be able to accumulate a lot of fresh supplies just by breaking down the items you already have. On the same token, however, dont always use certain supplies just because you already have them. If your highlighters are quickly drying out, go ahead and buy a new set. No need to feel obligated to suffer through that annoyance until the very last stroke of color. Have both sets on hand so nothing goes to waste, but that you are still prepared for a final malfunction at a moments notice. Most importantly, think carefully about what kind of note-taking each of your classes will require of you and assign various supplies accordingly. Make sure you have a notebook with hundreds of pages for that math class you know will be asking you to solve problem after problem and save those lesser-paged notebooks for other courses that are more discussion based. Whether you purchase all new items or get creative with what materials you have, just make sure your final set of supplies makes you feel refreshed and confident to approach the next semester. Here is some great information on how to save on college suppliesthat you may want to take a look at. Rest: As a natural human being, sleep is one of the big necessities for any productive process. Get plenty of rest during your time off so you are guaranteed to feel very rejuvenated come the return of school. Moreover, getting enough rest during winter break will improve your progress of completing your priority list. A tired person cannot achieve these goals easily. Most importantly, you do not want to start off your spring semester exhausted before anything has even begun. Youre going to have plenty of time to be fighting for rest once the curriculum gets rolling dont make things harder on yourself than they need to be. As productive as you want to be over winter break, dont work so much that you lose time to sleep. It can be tempting to stay up all night every night when you have no school in the morning, but doing that also makes you more exhausted the next day, even if you do sleep in. Practice the appropriate sleep discipline now and you will not only be more relaxed for the school year, you will be better trained to keep up this sleeping pattern throughout the semester. Here is some great information on the importance of sleepthat you may want to check out. Review Your Schedule: You might think, I dont need to worry about next semesters schedule right now, I can just take a look at it a few days before the semester begins. You could do this, but it will just make digesting the schedule more of a challenge for you. Both reviewing the times and places of your classes as well as the content of your classes is very important. The earlier on that you get well-acquainted with this information, the better. If you gradually spend time over break checking out your schedule, youre more likely to feel very comfortable with it by the time school starts up again. Memorizing everything in a rush the night before the first day of school is dangerous for the same reasons cramming the night before a test is dangerous it is just not healthy and not promising. Make sure you have at least an idea of where each class is so you can visualize in your head how youll be getting there every day. Additionally, become familiar with the order of the classes so you can have a good idea of which areas youll be traveling between at what times. Get a feel for what kind of time crunches youll be under so there is no major pressure when the time comes. Take some time to review your course descriptions as well, if available. Some teachers even choose to post the syllabus online early which is something you should definitely take advantage of. It can be reassuring to know exactly what is going to be expected of you before that first day arrives when youre already intimidated by everything else going on. This information can help you indicate what kind of supplies you need, how much class interaction will be involved, and how much outside study time youll need to set aside. Do your best to understand these elements of each of your classes and collectively look at them. That is a sure-fire way to comprehend what your next semester will be like and what kind of things you need to get done now to prepare for them. You may also want to take a look at the se 5 new year's resolutions for schoolthat may help you jump start your new year. Ultimately, the key to a productive winter break is thinking ahead. Think of things that typically frustrate you in the middle of the school year that leave you to wonder: why didnt I take care of this beforehand? Whether that be buying a sturdy enough binder for all of those English notes, having extra batteries on hand for your calculator, knowing how long it is going to take you to get from one morning class to the other, or being prepared with questions for your Physics teacher whose course is just daunting to you. Smooth things over now so you can be ready to go once the school year goes back into motion.

Subdivision The Easy Trick for Reading Rhythms Rightt

Subdivision The Easy Trick for Reading Rhythms Rightt Suzy S. As youre learning to read music,  youll come across complex rhythms at some point. Here,  Saint Augustine, FL music teacher  Heather L. offers some helpful tips to help you get through the tricky parts Have you ever found yourself sitting in a big concert hall, or in your room, listening to a soloist play a practically perfect rhythm? Almost all of us have, and almost all of us have asked ourselves, How do they do that? Their secret is subdivision. You might be just beginning with learning to read music, or you might have been reading for decades. Either way, chances are that you agree with many musicians that reading pitches is one thing, but reading rhythms is quite another. Rhythm can be what separates some of us from believing in our sight reading abilities. Learning Your Note Value Family Tree As you learn to read music, subdivision is the key to understanding what every note means, rhythmically. You could think of subdivision as a sort of X-ray vision for rhythm, allowing you to see the inner structure of each note. You see, every single note is made up of smaller, or shorter notes. What you see here is a simple drawing of the hierarchy of notes, if you will. In a way, its kind of a note value family tree. At the top, you see a whole note. A whole note is made up of two half notes. Each half note is made up of two quarter notes. Every quarter note is made up of two  eighth  notes. Each of those eighth  notes is made up of two sixteenth notes. If you were to count all of the sixteenth notes at the bottom, then youd find sixteen of them. There are sixteen sixteenth notes in a whole note. Got that? Writing Counts Into Your Music Okay, below is first line of Beethovens Ode to Joy, only underneath each note youll see that Ive written a combination of numbers and plus signs. Each number and each plus sign represents an eighth note. Count out loud, saying, One and two and three and four and If I were to sing this, then Id sing the same thing on the appropriate pitches. By steadily counting every eighth note as you read the music, youre instantly more accurate. Youll no longer be guessing at how long to hold each note. This is especially important when it comes to something like what you see in measure four above. Instead of thinking to yourself, That dotted quarter note is one and a half beats, youll think to yourself, That dotted quarter note is three eighth notes. Instead of thinking to yourself, That half note is two beats long, youll think to yourself, That half note is four eighth notes long. When I have a really tough song to learn, Ill write the counts underneath, just like I did in Ode to Joy above. Whats really cool about subdivision is that it can be used in music that has even sixteenth and thirty-second notes! Counting sixteenth notes means saying, ONE-ee-and-uh-TWO-ee-and-uh Every note has a specific number of sixteenth notes inside it. Just count as many as you need. Though all this may sound tedious, it actually makes learning to read music so much easier. Instead of a vague feeling or intuition about how long or short notes are, youve got a solid understanding of how every single note is constructed. The mystery of rhythm unravels, and suddenly, youre no longer intimidated by it. You can see right through it. Whether it’s for maths, French lessons or drawing classes - it’s all the same. But what makes a good drawing professor and how do you find one?A good drawing tutor is first and foremost one who is a good fit for you. In other words, if you are interested in drawing manga, there’s no use in taking a teacher specialising in realistic painting techniques.Though many art teachers are competent in several mediums, they will have a greater affinity for certain techniques (graphite, sanguine, charcoal, crayons, oil painting, watercolours etc.). Be sure to choose your drawing professor not only based on medium, but on technique as well (depending on whether you want to learn to draw comics, still life, portraiture…)If you want to improve, it’s important to receive professional criticism so that you know what to work on and how to fine-tune your artistic instincts. This means teachers who know how to criticise without discouraging or insulting their students.Check for the best drawing courses London that you should take here.  So… Why not try a private art tutor? The Superprof platform matches drawing and painting enthusiasts with people wanting to learn the basics. You can look at each individual profile and choose the ideal drawing teacher for your needs. Choosing a private tutor also means staying in control of your timetable and budget. One profile is especially common among our art tutors - the art student.Students at an art school often give lessons during their studies to help support themselves financially or gain experience for their later professional life.Whether they are studying at a school of Fine Arts, design or architecture - art students have solid base in both theory and practice and can pass it on easily. To find art school students or any other professional drawing teacher, don’t hesitate to post on open forums, put up notices in shop windows or corkboards or simply head over to Superprof. What Art Supplies Should You Buy for Your Art Lessons?Art supplies are the most important element when learning to draw. And with a little bit of industry, basic supplies shouldn’t cost you more than a dozen pounds.A lot of art te achers have a store of supplies for beginner students, but you should still buy your own pencil, kneaded eraser, pencil sharpener and ruler.Your very first art lessons will probably cover line drawing. You first need to know how to draw realistically on a white piece of paper, using the various forms of perspective and foreshortening but also learning how light and shadow work.Basic drawings materials are simple and cheap: a pencil, paper and an eraser. Photo by SSAVE w/ over 8 MILLION views THX on Visualhunt.comFor that, a simple HB pencil is ideal. It’s the perfect compromise between a soft (B) and hard (H) lead. You will also need an eraser to eradicate your mistakes. A kneaded eraser is perfect for the task, allowing you to either dim your lines or erase them completely, depending on your needs.Once you have a firm grasp of the different mediums, you will know what art supplies you should invest in. You can’t buy everything you need for all the drawing techniques out there, a nd even once you choose which ones to focus on, getting just the right palette of supplies for your personal style will take time.As you progress in your art lessons, you will get a feel for the supplies you need. Each technique has its own range of specific supplies (acrylic paints, charcoal sticks or pencils, palettes, brushes, canvas…) For example, if you decide to continue drawing in pencil, you will probably want to invest in the whole range of graphite strengths from 9H to 9B.To avoid having to buy new supplies too often, you need to take care of them properly. Pouches are perfect for your finished drawings and virgin paper. A pencil case will protect your pencils. Some specialised  items  let you put away a whole range of tools as you progress in various techniques such as acrylic painting or pen and ink.And don’t forget to clean your brushes and palettes after every use. They can quickly become unusable if you don’t rinse them correctly (with turpentine, for example, s o that the bristles don’t stick together.)Whether in a department store, specialised art supplies shop or on the Internet, you are sure to find the right art supplies for your needs. How Much Should Drawing Lessons Cost?Learning to draw can be done with drawing lessons online behind the computer screen or with the help of an art teacher. Or you can sign up at an art studio.Art studios and art schools offer regular classes and a curriculum that progresses throughout the length of the course. Each lesson builds upon the one before it while accredited teachers help you improve. You can find art studios in almost every city. Prices vary depending on location and what art techniques they teach. Prices range from £4 a drawing session to £160 for a ten-lesson course. If you don’t have time to attend art courses every week, holiday drawing classes might be the right fit for you. They cost around £300-500 for a week and offer the perfect chance for intensive drawing sessions over the cour se of several days, allowing you to make quick progress in very little time. It is also a great way to discover new drawing mediums and techniques before committing yourself to them. You can take summer drawing courses on almost every subject, from sketching, still life, portrait drawing, drawing comics…You don't need to draw money to pay for art classes. Private drawing lessons can be very affordable. Photo by Internet Archive Book Images on VisualhuntLearning to draw is accessible to every budget. But to save on drawing lessons or avoid being stuck with a fixed weekly appointment, you can learn drawing basics in private drawing classes. On Superprof, “Arts and Hobbies” lessons are among the least expensive. On average, you will pay: £21.22 for caricature lessons £24.64 for oil painting classes £19.53 for comic art lessons £19.69 for watercolour classesYou can also reduce the cost of art lessons by taking advantage of discounts by some of our professors. Many offer the first ho ur for free - this lets you get an idea of what drawing classes are like but also see if the teacher is right for you. Some also offer a discount if you book more than 10 lessons with them. And trust me, it’s going to take more than 10 lessons to master the basics of drawing.Don’t forget to factor in the price of your drawing materials (pencil, etui, kneadable eraser…)How Can You Improve Between Your Drawing Lessons? The next drawing class sometimes seems so far away. So what can you do to train and improve between two art lessons? There are a lot of exercises you can do to help improve the motor skills and mental capacities useful for drawing.Visual memory also plays an important role.Landscape or scene artists often draw scenes that only last a few minutes. They have to remember as many details as possible to put them down on paper later. For this as for anything, practice makes perfect. Go out and draw people on the street. This will teach you to sharpen your gaze and work your memory.Draw whenever you can. Take advantage of fine weather to sketch the shrubs and flowers in a park or passer-by on your street. Constant doodling also has health benefits, but mostly it is how a good artist trains his eye and learns from his errors.Go outside and sketch to learn to draw scenes and people. Photo by DS Williams on VisualhuntVarying mediums can also help you progress more quickly.Concentration and diligence are also essential qualities for making progress in drawing. You need to draw regularly and tune out everyday worries in order to concentrate on the drawing before you.And if you vary your drawing techniques, you will learn new methods of dealing with colour and tone. Though you might feel comfortable with charcoal or pastel, learning something new can help you improve your core techniques as well. There are so many drawing mediums and techniques out there, and every one of them has something to teach you.Visit Art GalleriesIf you can, go to museums to discove r the variety of paintings and styles out there. It will inspire you and open your mind to new drawing techniques. Or make a family outing of it - museums are good for everyone.Visiting art museums can give you a new perspective on your own art and help improve your drawing.Photo by -Jeffrey- on Visual huntOr why not work on your own exhibition? Photo via VisualHunt.comGCSE Biology: An IntroductionGCSE Biology courses have been carefully put together to be informative whils t encouraging curiosity. Pupils will learn about human biology, including how their body works and how it reacts to external factors, as well as finding out more about other living organisms, evolution and the environment. The aim of the course is to develop students’ scientific knowledge, (particularly biological concepts), to apply observational and problem-solving as well as develop analytical skills, all through a series of relevant  topics. The range of the topics is very broad, giving students a wider understanding of the world and those living in it.Due to government changes to GCSE courses and exams, many exam boards have amended their specifications to reflect these alterations. For this reason, many new courses emerged around 2016, with many new exams due to be sat for the very first time next summer (2018).The AQA CurriculumThe updated AQA Biology GCSE (8461) first made its way to classrooms across the country in 2016, and its up to date exam will therefore be sat by stu dents for the first time at the end of this academic year. The principal changes, which have been trialled and developed with the help of teachers, are that exams are more straightforward. This means that less scientific language is used in questions to avoid any confusion, there are fewer contexts to further improve understanding and the questions increase in difficulty to build up the students’ confidence during the course of the assessment.Exams have also received input from GCSE Maths teams (because Mathematics is very closely linked to Science) as well as A Level Science teams to ensure that the content flows consistently through to the next stage of learning. As previously mentioned, with any Biology GCSE you can expect to explore a very broad range of topics, such is the breadth of the subject. Yet, here are the main categories that you will encounter on the AQA syllabus:Cell BiologyOrganisationInfection and responseBioenergeticsHomeostasis and responseInheritance, variation and evolutionEcologyCell Biology is the focus of one of the AQA topics. Photo credit: kaibara87 via VisualHunt / CC BYThe exam is divided into two papers, covering topics 1-4 in the first instance and then 5-7 in the second. The first assessment is a written exam which last for 1 hour 45 mins and counts for half the final grade. The latter, also the same duration, makes up the other 50% of the grade, which means that marks are based purely on performance in exams and not on coursework carried out during the two-year course. Both exams mix up a variety of styles of questions, including multiple choice, structured, closed short answers and open responses. You can find out more about the exam boards and past papers here.Tips for GCSE Biology studentsSchool isn’t easy for anybody, no matter what it might like seem on the outside. Some students may struggle more academically whilst others might have emotional difficulties to keep on top of… the main thing is to not suffer in silence!Th ere are many ways that you can make life easier for yourself when studying towards your GCSEs, and the great thing is that many of them are free. The key to learning success is to plan, so get organised now and take inspiration from our tips below to help you with your Biology studies.Build A Study And Revision PlannerIt is never too early to start thinking about your exams, even if they are over a year away. We bet you are more than happy to think about the summer holiday that you have been promised after the exams over! You can use many online tools to help you build a planner, one of which can be found via The Student Room, but it is just as easy to create a hand-written diary if you prefer. If you opt for the paper version, you’ll need to go out and buy yourself a diary or planner, but bear in mind that this should ideally be an academic one which runs from September to September.Look up for a biology tutor A Level. In this planner, be sure to write down all of your key dates, l ike the dates of the exams if you know them already. This will give you a goal to work towards. Don’t forget to keep the journal up to date by putting in homework deadlines, listing revision sessions, and adding reminders (like a prompt regarding an event related to one of your topics or a suggestion to complete a past paper).Use a diary or planner to prepare for key dates like exams, revision sessions and excursions. Photo via VisualHunt.comIf you find it easier to create your study planner digitally, you can benefit from linking it to your mobile phone calendar and then receive alerts without having to remember to carry around or consult your diary.Ask QuestionsDon’t be afraid to ask questions, and don’t leave it until it is too late! Your teacher will be more than happy to help you when you have questions about the course or the exam, by either offering you advice or by pointing you in the direction of resources to look at.However, don’t forget that there are many others ways to get answers nowadays. For instance, the Internet is a huge network that connects us with resources but also with people who have similar interests and who can offer helpful discussions.Forums like the one found on The Student Room are specifically designed for students to interact with eachother, share their concerns, offer advice or simply to vent frustration about their education. You may find that pupils one year ahead of you can offer you some friendly suggestions regarding the course (but do remember that your exam could be quite different to theirs due to the recent changes).Find Online Resources And Past PapersAs your teacher will no doubt have told you, past papers are one of the best forms of revision that you can do. But what about when your particular exam has never been set before?Regardless of the changes to curriculums, the content of Biology remains the same. It’s not like the answers to scientific questions change from one year to the next! While some of the structure will have changed, you can bet that many of the questions will share strong similarities with the questions you will be faced with come next year or the following year.As such, don’t be put off using past papers to work on your exam technique, but just bear in mind that the exam you take won’t follow the exact same flow.Hire A TutorFinally, although it requires a little more financial dedication, you might find it useful to hire a tutor to help you to improve your level of understanding of the topics in Biology, rather than getting close to the exam and realising that there are large gaps in your learning.Help from biology home tutors is particularly useful if you are falling behind for any reason, if you want to ensure a better grade or if you have specific requirements to meet in order to study Biology at the next level. Narrative, Person, Distance and Author

Narrative, Person, Distance and Author What is Narrative? E. Irving Couse [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons What is Narrative? A narrative is the combination of a story and its presentation. The first of these two elements, story, is a series of events involving entities, with a beginning, middle, and end. The entities in the story can be sentient, such as in stories about people or human-like talking animals, or entities can be insentient, such as stories about the formation of the solar system, in which the entities are non-human and incapable of acting with intent. The second element of a narrative is the presentation of the story, sometimes called the narrative discourse, which is the particular way a story is told. If you have ever read a book and seen the movie adaptation, you might observe that the story was essentially the same but the film and book versions were different renderingsâ€"two narratives about the same story. First, Second, or Third Person Narration To illustrate, if four writers were to agree on a series of events involving the same entities, but then went off to separate rooms to write the story, each would produce a different narrative because the presentation of those events would inevitably be different. One author might choose to write the story using first-person narration, “I woke up late.” The second author might choose instead to use third person narration, “He woke up late.” The third author might choose to use third-person omniscient narration, “No one in the galaxy cared that he had woken up late.” Alternatively, a fourth author might choose to experiment with second-person narration, “You have woken up late.” Each produces a different narrative effect in the mind of the reader. First person narration feels true. When the story is about the narrator, it seems autobiographical, even if the story is fiction. Readers tend to construct an idea of the author in the process of reading and begin to think that we know something about him or her by the end. This inferred author may, in fact, be nothing like the real author. In fiction, we should remember that the narrator is an invention of the authorâ€"a tool used to tell the story. The illusion created by first-person narration, however, can be so convincing and so complete for readers that many can come away from a book worrying about the mental health of the author. Such was the case when Vladimir Nabokov’s novel Lolita first appeared. At the time, misconceptions about the author were so pervasive that Nabokov felt it necessary to add an afterword to a later edition of his novel to emphasize that he was not anything like the murderous Humbert and did not share his narrator’s predilection for 12-year-old girls . Narrative Distance It is easier to distinguish between the author and the narrator in third person narration. The third-person narrator can exist outside of the storyworld as a non-character or participate in a small way as a minor character. The degree of involvement in the story is called narrative distance, and it is variable from narrative to narrative. Hemingway wrote third-person narration with “complete emotional non-involvement” (Abbott, 2008, p. 75). His narrator always remains distant from the action. He describes but does not judge. He reports. In contrast, Nelly Dean, the narrator of Wuthering Heights, participates as a minor character, commenting and expressing sympathies in a story that is, for her, still in progress. A reader can judge the emotional distance of the narrator by counting the number of adjectives employed. With the exception of descriptive adjectives denoting size, shape, or number, the presence of evaluative adjectives let us know that the narrator cares and feels. It is possible to tell a story using second person narration. It has been done, but it is rare. Balzac writes, “You hold this book in your white hand, lying back in a softly cushioned armchair, saying to yourself, ‘Perhaps this one is amusing.’” Being addressed by the narrator in this way creates a relationship between the reader and the narrator, however hostile. Jay McInerney’s narrator maintains more distance, making the reader a protagonist in his story. He writes, “At one o’clock, you go out for a sandwich. Megan asks you to bring her a Tab. Downstairs, you semi-revolve through the doors and think how nice it would be not to return, ever” (McInerney, 1984, p. 27). Second person narration like this is more common in hypertext fiction. The effect of second-person narration is strange, to say the least. Person, distance, and narrator all take time to develop and understand. As we have seen, there are dangers, too. Readers make false inferences about the author that sometimes need to be dispelled. References Abbott, H. P. (2008). The Cambridge Introduction to Narrative (2nd ed.). Share it on Facebook and Twitter. LOIEnglish ShampaYour vocabulary learning app is interesting. However linguistic research shows that vocabulary isnt integrated into speech until it is produced within conversation by the student at least 4 times. The production is necessary to integrate the vocabulary into normal conversation which I think is what most English Language learners are interested in.
